Although laser scanning (as above) is the preferred method for site surveying due to its accuracy and efficiency, there are instances where its use may not be feasible. Site obstacles, space constraints, or limited accessibility may hinder the implementation of laser scanning. In such cases, a manual survey using traditional techniques can be used. Methods such as tape measuring, leveling, dumpy levels, and theodolites etc.
